A former youth soccer, and school league, defender and goalkeeper Mitch played one season of Collegiate Soccer as a fullback at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology while studying Broadcast News.

But it was an opening at Fox that allowed him to build on his playing experience by getting into the stats and history of the world of football.

An avid reader of Sports news, and non-stop talker, Mitch has been working in Sports Media since 1995 when he began a 7-and-a-half year spell in radio.

An experienced Anchor and Show Host with three season Hosting Calgary Flames NHL radio to his credit, Mitch also spent a great deal of his time in radio as a Major Junior and Minor Pro Hockey Play-by-Play announcer before switching to TV.

In addition to his time at SAIT, Mitch has a BA from the University of Alberta and played a season of Varsity Hockey while taking Graduate Courses at Queen's University.
